Bio
Born in Oklahoma City, raised in small town Texas and now living in Denver, Colorado Patricia has grown to embrace the relaxed style of the Midwest.
Raised in a single parent home she developed an appreciation for the simple things in life.
Graduating from
Midwestern State University in Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in
Sculpture and minor in Photography, Patricia started her internship with The Maine Photographic and International Film
Workshops in Rockport, Maine.
Five months later she was working for
Rockport College as a Teaching Assistant for the 2002 fall term. Married in September 2002 to a
fellow artist Patricia began a new approach to her art work. Homeless and happy she traveled by way of her old ford pick-up and found Denver,
Colorado calling to her. Three months later she was working with
Southwestern Georgia State University as an Artist in Resident with
glassblowing influence. In August 2003 she signed with The Assembly Gallery in Denver, allowing her to lay down roots and mature her
body of work. While working with local ceramic facility and setting up her own studio, Patricia found out her mother had brain cancer
in December 2003. She headed home to be with her mother, forty days later Patricia lost the only family she had. Determined to
continue the life she started in Denver Patricia returned in March 2004 and struggled to reclaim her momentum as an artist.
Currently Patricia is working from her own studio in
her home.
